Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead

This is a Joe Cross movie that came out in 2010.
Joe, an Australian born man, is 40 years old, 100 lbs overweight and suffering from an autoimmune disorder that he’s suffered with for 9 years. He trades in his sedentary, junk food lifestyle for 60 days of juicing and drives 3,000 miles across America and chronicles his adventures back to health. He meets a truck driver in Arizona named Phil Staples who suffers from the same disorder and is morbidly obese at 429lbs. Joe inspires Phil to follow his regime and both men start the healing process after a lifetime of food abuse. This title is available on Netflix streaming right now so if you have it, check this film out. The first time I watched it, we bought a juicer! It’s pretty amazing to see the transformations that happen in both men. Also, Dr. Fuhrman, the author of “Eat To Live high nutrient program” is Joe’s doctor. I’ve been doing a lot of reading and research on Dr. Fuhrman and his “Eat To Live high nutrient program” but that is for another blog post!
